Privacy Policy

Plain-English privacy for MowSolo. We collect only what the app needs, and we never sell your data.

This Privacy Policy describes how Mow & Plow Solo (branded "MowSolo"), operated by Galaxy Automations ("we," "us," "our"), collects, uses, and protects information when you use the MowSolo app at app.mowsolo.com and this website (mowsolo.com). MowSolo is business software for solo lawn-care operators ("operators"). Operators use MowSolo to manage information about their own customers ("clients").

1. Information we collect

  • Account information. Your name, email address, business name, and password (stored hashed) when you create an account.
  • Client information you enter. Operators enter information about their clients — names, service addresses, phone numbers, email addresses, notes (like gate codes or pet names), pricing, and service history. This data belongs to the operator; we store and process it only to provide the service.
  • Location information. If you enable it, we use location data (such as the addresses on your route and, where permitted, your device location) to order your daily route and calculate mileage. You can decline device-location permissions and still use the app.
  • Payment information. Subscription payments are processed by Stripe. We never see or store your full card number — Stripe handles it and shares only limited details with us (like card brand, last four digits, and payment status).
  • Messaging data. When the app sends texts (like invoices or reminders) to an operator's clients through Twilio, we process the recipient phone number, message content, and delivery status. See our SMS & Messaging Policy.
  • Usage & device data. Basic technical logs (browser type, pages viewed, errors) used to keep the app fast and fix bugs.

2. How we use information

  • Provide the service: routes, invoicing, payment tracking, expense tracking, reports, and take-home totals.
  • Send transactional messages (invoices, receipts, reminders, job updates) on the operator's behalf.
  • Process subscription billing through Stripe.
  • Support you when you email us, and notify you about important service changes.
  • Maintain security, prevent abuse, and improve the product.

3. What we do NOT do

  • We do not sell your personal information or your clients' information. Ever.
  • We do not share mobile phone numbers or SMS opt-in data with third parties or affiliates for their own marketing or promotional purposes.
  • We do not show ads or share your data with advertisers.
  • We do not read or use your client list for anything other than running the app for you. Your client list and pricing stay private.

4. Third-party service providers

We share data only with the service providers needed to run MowSolo, and only for that purpose:

5. Text messaging (SMS)

MowSolo sends two kinds of texts on behalf of operators: service (transactional) messages such as invoices, receipts, appointment reminders, and job-complete notices; and marketing messages (like promotions or re-booking offers), which are sent only to clients who have opted in. Recipients can opt out any time by replying STOP. Full details, including how consent is collected, are in our SMS & Messaging Policy.

6. Data retention & deletion

We keep your data while your account is active. If you cancel, you can export your data first. You may request deletion of your account and its data at any time by emailing us; we will delete it within 30 days except where we must retain records for legal, tax, or billing purposes.

7. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal information, and to object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise any of these rights, email alex@mowsolo.com — we answer every message. If you are a client of a MowSolo operator, you can also contact your operator directly, since they control their client records.

8. Security

Data is encrypted in transit and at rest. Access is limited, passwords are hashed, and payments are handled by Stripe's PCI-compliant systems.

9. Children

MowSolo is business software and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

10. Changes to this policy

If we make material changes, we'll update this page and the effective date, and notify active operators by email or in the app.
